An inside look at the current issues facing Paramus, NJ. Michael V. Pettigano / NorthJersey.com
A Paramus police officer managed to reunite a woman with her lost engagement ring after it fell off her finger on Sunday.
Kimberly Garcia lost her ring along Route 4 while changing a flat tire. It was not until she got home that Garcia realized the ring was no longer on her finger, according to a Facebook post by the Paramus Police Department. She called the police department to file a report.
Garcia and officers attempted to find the ring on Saturday, looking around where she had changed the tire to no avail. Officer Jon Henderson, however, persisted with the search the following day, spending his free patrol time looking in the area again, the post states.
Henderson was able to find the engagement ring near the highway and return it to Garcia.
